Maureen Conroy, RSM, D. Min., Certified Reiki Practitioner & Reiki Master, is Co-Director of the Upper Room Spiritual Center and one of the founders of Spiritual Directors International (SDI). Through her ministries of spiritual direction, supervision, teaching, writing, energy therapy and bodywork, she helps people to grow in their relationship with God and to be in touch with their deeper selves. She believes in a holistic approach to personal and spiritual growth. Maureen views Reiki as a significant way to foster the healing of body, mind and spirit. Maureen holds a Master of Divinity degree from Princeton Theological Seminary and a Doctor of Ministry degree from St. Mary’s University in Baltimore, Maryland. She is the author of numerous articles and five books.

First Degree Reiki

Healing Mind, Body and Spirit

Reiki (pronounced ray-key and meaning universal life force energy) is a natural form of healing which originated over 2500 years ago. The Reiki system is a gentle “laying-on of hands” healing process which helps to restore balance and harmony in our hearts and lives. Reiki supports the body’s natural ability to heal itself, balances life giving energy and fosters mental and spiritual well-being.

First Degree Reiki Training Includes:

• Receiving the First Degree Reiki Attunement, which connects you to the unlimited source of Reiki energy
• An overview of the meaning, purpose, effects and history of Reiki energy therapy
• Procedures for giving a complete Reiki treatment to others and oneself
• Supervised practice sessions: giving and receiving a full Reiki treatment using forty hand positions
• First Degree Reiki Certificate

(Recommended preparation - A full Reiki Treatment)

Fee: $175 plus $10 for manual

Second Degree Reiki

Expanding Your Healing Power

Sunday, May 31, 8:30am to 5:30pm

The Second Degree Reiki training builds on the energy healing process taught in the First Degree workshop. Individuals who desire to expand their energy healing abilities and open themselves to the deepening power of

Reiki are encouraged to participate.

Second Degree Reiki Training Includes:

• Receiving the Second Degree Reiki Attunement
• The Reiki power symbols and their use in Reiki treatment
• How to diagnose and evaluate the energy flow in your clients
• Other procedures for a complete Reiki treatment
• Procedure for Absentee Reiki treatments (sending Reiki energy to someone at a distance)
• Supervised practice sessions
• Guidelines for opening your own Reiki practice
• Second Degree Reiki Certificate

(Required preparation - First Degree Reiki Training)

Fee: $200 plus $10 for manual

($75 non-refundable deposit due by May 23)

Advanced Reiki (Reiki III)

Strengthening Your Healing Power

Sunday, May 31, 7:00pm – 9:30pm

& Monday, June 1, 8:30am – 3:00pm

The Advanced Level Reiki training builds on the healing process taught in the First and Second Degree workshops. Reiki practitioners who would like to strengthen their energy healing abilities are encouraged to participate.

Advanced Reiki Training Includes:

• Advanced Reiki Attunement and Symbol
• Advanced Reiki energy techniques called Beaming and Scanning
• The effects of Reiki energy on various dimensions of the physical body and energy body
• Seven ways to perceive energy
• Enhanced treatment procedures
• Collective absentee healing
• Reiki meditation exercises
• Supervised practice sessions
• Ways to expand, nourish and balance your own energy
• Advanced Reiki Certificate

(Required preparation - First & Second Degree Reiki Training)

Fee: $225 plus $10 for manual

($75 non-refundable deposit due May 23)
